This set is visually striking and has a textured surface with the white detail standing out from the graduated background which goes from pearlescent blue-green to deep blue. The surface has quite a prominent texture as a result of the particular technique used to produce this set.
The pendant, earrings and bracelet pieces have all been cured on a curved support to give them a pleasing curved shape. All the pieces have a nice patterned finish on the back.
The pattern has been applied to the surface using a technique of carefully transferring clay that has been placed into a texture sheet one small section at a time then back onto the supporting clay sheet. This process is very time consuming. A shape was then carefully selected and the pieces and backing carefully cut and edged. The pendant has a matching bail which both supports the pendant and adds to it's visual impact. It is designed to be hung from a smooth metal neck piece but can also be strung with ribbon, leather, buna cord, textiles etc The matching polymer clay bail supports the piece but also adds to its bold design.
The matching earrings and bracelet are made by the same process as the pendant. The wire connections in the earrings, bracelet and the pendant are made by hand with tarnish resistant artistic wire. The bracelet has a magnetic clasp.
This item is hand crafted and so has imperfections that add to its unique charm.
