This jewellery set has a striking pattern of bold colours and design.
This pendant bead is air filled and so is lighter than you expect. It also has a curved front surface to give it a pleasing shape. All the pieces have a nice patterned finish on the back.
This is a unique jewellery set ... truly "one of a kind" as this particular pattern cannot be produced again.
The set features a bold design that borrows from other art techniques. It combines pieces from selected polymer clay patterns combined with small pieces of solid colour to form a "designer patchwork" or "wearable polymer clay collage". The shape and placement of each piece was carefully planned to maximise the flow of the design and visual impact. A shape was then carefully selected and the thin polymer sheet was draped to form a pleasing curve before being cut to trap just the right amount of air to produce the finished shape of the pendant. The pendant has a matching bail which both supports the pendant and adds to it's visual impact. It is designed to be hung from a smooth metal neck piece but can also be strung with ribbon, leather, buna cord, textiles etc
The matching earrings and bracelet also have a gently curved surface and nice pattern on the back. The bracelet has a magnetic clasp. The wire connections in the bracelet and the pendant are made by hand with tarnish resistant artistic wire.
This pattern is not painted but is made through manipulating coloured polymer clay. Jewellery made with these complex patterns takes many hours to design, make the many manipulations of the clay to make the pattern and then to cut and combine the pattern pieces to make the final piece. It can take between 20 to 50 hours to design and make jewellery with these complex designs.
This item is hand crafted and so has imperfections that add to its unique charm.
