This set has an bold abstract floral pattern showcasing strong contrasts of colour and tone. It reminds me of the cheerful snapdragons I remember from gardens in my childhood.
This pattern is not painted. is the result of complex mixing and manipulations of coloured clay. The pendant has a pleasing curved shape,and complex pattern on both the front and the back. It has a coordinating bail made from polymer clay.
It is designed to be hung from a smooth metal neck ring but can also be strung with ribbon, leather, buna cord, textiles etc
The earrings have a subtle elegant curve and a beautifully patterned back. The posts are embedded in the clay so they are very secure.
The bracelet pieces are also slightly curved to look good and feel comfortable on the wrist. The metal links are hand made with oval jump rings for added security. It has a metal clasp.
The bracelet and earring pieces are beautifully framed with a dark purple "frame"of polymer clay.
Jewellery made with these complex patterns takes many hours to design and then to make the many manipulations of the clay to form the intricate pattern. A number for small pieces are cut and combined with great precision to make make the final piece. Once cured each piece is carefully sanded to give a smooth texture to the surface It can take between 20 to 50 hours to design and make jewellery with these complex designs.
Only a few pieces are made with each design. Because of this complexity it is not possible to replicate this particular pattern exactly again.
This item is hand crafted and so has imperfections that add to its unique charm
