How this unique necklace was made:
The technique used to make the surface design of these beads involves impressing patterns into carefully selected layers of polymer clay that are then carefully sliced very thin, placed on a new support layer. Each bead is then carefully formed by hand and covered with small pieces of the coloured clay layer with a "selective collage" technique then reshaped. Each bead is pierced by hand and baking. The polymer clay beads are then arranged with other beads on a strong and flexible wire before being finished with a clasp to allow the necklace to either be worn as a single long piece or shorter "double" necklace.
.This piece is handmade and may have small imperfections which add to it's unique charm.
